Yesterday we celebrated our father's 90th birthday.
We celebrated without him because, as you may know, he died on 29.11.2025.

All his children and their families were gathered around a large oval table, there was plenty of food and we talked about all sorts of things, but no one said a word about the reason we were together, none of us mentioned our father.

After my biological sister had left with her family,
I asked one of my stepsisters, who was visibly uncomfortable, what was going on with her.
